ABOUT DR. EMILE JAZZAR
Dr. Emile Jazzar is very proud to have been born and raised in Ottawa. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa in 2013 with Highest Honours. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2021, graduating on the Dean’s Honours List. Upon graduating, he received the Ottawa Society of Optometrists Scholarship for his excellence in clinical optometry and the Prize for Academic Excellence in Ocular Pharmacology for his dedication, knowledge, and performance in studying ocular pharmacology. Over the course of his clinical externship, he had the opportunity to gain valuable experience at the Health Sciences Optometric Clinic in Kitchener, Ontario, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, particularly glaucoma, dry eye, and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Jazzar prides himself on delivering outstanding care and strives to work together with patients to provide tailored and personalized exams and recommendations. He is passionate about educating patients, answering any questions they have, and explaining the rationale behind recommendations to help them make informed decisions. He understands that everyone has different aims and expectations for their vision, and his desire is to use his knowledge and expertise to help patients reach their goals.
Outside of work, Dr. Jazzar enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He has a weak spot for good food and is always trying to explore new recipes in the kitchen. When he is not in the kitchen, you can usually find him walking, cycling, watching sports, or making last minute changes to his fantasy sports teams.
